Youth charged in robbery
   
  
The Windsor Police Service has charged a 15-year-old male following a robbery with an imitation firearm.

On February 27, 2024, shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Raymo Rd. Through investigation, officers learned that the suspect took a cab to this location and then pointed a firearm at the driver when it was time to pay for the fare. The suspect then fled on foot towards Westminster Blvd. 

A short time later, officers located and arrested the suspect at a residence in the 900 block of Westminster Blvd. Inside the suspect’s backpack, officers recovered a replica pellet handgun, baton taser, and Molotov cocktail.

The suspect, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with the following:
Robbery with an offensive weapon
Pointing a firearm
Wearing a disguise with intent 
Possession of explosive material
Possession of incendiary material for arson
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Failure to comply with a release order

This youth was also arrested and charged earlier this month in connection with a robbery downtown.
