Motorist charged with dangerous driving after vehicle crashes into building
The Windsor Police Service has charged a 19-year-old man with dangerous driving after a vehicle crashed into a commercial building in Walkerville.
Shortly after 7 p.m. last night, officers responded to a report that a vehicle had struck a building in the 1200 block of Walker Road. After arriving on scene, officers learned a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe was travelling at a high rate of speed when it collided with another car and then hit the building, causing a natural gas leak.
The building was evacuated while Windsor Fire and Rescue Services secured the area.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Hassan Alrashaedah, of Windsor, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
