Police seek stabbing suspect 

 

The Windsor Police Service is looking for a suspect following a stabbing on Saturday afternoon. 

Shortly before 3 p.m. on January 6, 2024, officers responded to a call about a stabbing at a motel in the 2600 block of Howard Avenue. At the scene, officers located a 47-year-old male with a stab wound to his body. 

The victim was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. 

Officers learned that a verbal altercation started between the victim and an unknown male suspect inside a motel room. After the dispute turned physical, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene. 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 35 years old, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and a black jacket. 

This remains an ongoing investigation. Investigators urge business owners and residents in the immediate vicinity of the incident to review their security surveillance cameras for suspicious activity.
