Suspect arrested following sexual assaults in east Windsor

  
  
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a suspect following multiple sexual assaults in the city’s east end.

In late June 2023, the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation after receiving complaints that two minors were inappropriately touched in public by a suspicious male who drove a black 4-door SUV. The incidents occurred between June 20 and July 12, 2023, in parking lots near Tecumseh Rd. E. and Lauzon Parkway.

Through investigation, officers identified the suspect as Harjinder Singh, 34, of Windsor. On July 24, 2023, shortly before 9 a.m., Singh turned himself in at Windsor Police headquarters. 

Singh has been charged with the following:
Sexual assault (x 2)
Sexual interference (x 2)
Indecent exposure
Invitation to sexual touching 
Criminal harassment

Investigators encourage the public to check their dashcam video for footage of a black SUV in the parking lots around this intersection.
