Police seek suspect who set vehicle on fire

The Windsor Police Service is looking for a man after a vehicle was deliberately set on fire. 

On June 27, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of Stanley St. for a report of a vehicle fire. Through investigation, officers learned that a verbal altercation between two men escalated, leading to one of the parties intentionally setting fire to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving. 

There were no physical injuries as a result of the incident. 

The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Joseph Lamphier. He is currently wanted for arson-causing property damage.
