Three suspects charged in drug and gun bust 

The Windsor Police Service’s Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) has arrested three people and seized a firearm and over $330,000 in illegal drugs.

As part of an investigation into a drug trafficking network with links to Toronto, officers stopped a vehicle and arrested two suspects on June 27, 2023. During a search of the vehicle, they uncovered drugs and a loaded firearm. The following day, members of DIGS executed search warrants at three residences and one business in the city of Windsor. 

They arrested a third suspect and seized the following:
1,136.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine
449 grams of cocaine
918.8 grams of fentanyl
A loaded Smith and Wesson Revolver
43 rounds of ammunition 
Over $11,000 in cash 
A spring-assisted knife
4 scales

Three male suspects have been charged with numerous drug and firearm offences. 

Kevin Bingham, 50, is charged with the following:
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely crystal methamphetamine (x 2)
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely cocaine (x 2)
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely fentanyl (x 2)
Possession of a restricted firearm knowingly not holding a licence and registration
Unsafe storage of a firearm
Occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm
Possession of a loaded regulated firearm
Failure to comply with a prohibition order, namely firearms (x 3)
Failure to comply with prohibition order, namely ammunition (x 3)
Carrying a concealed weapon 
Possession of a prohibited weapon 

Bingham is currently bound by three separate firearm prohibition orders, which were ascribed between 2008 and 2013.

Christopher Carr, 47, is charged with the following:
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely crystal methamphetamine
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely cocaine
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely fentanyl

Shawn Desrosiers, 48, is charged with the following:
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely crystal methamphetamine
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely cocaine
Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely fentanyl
