Windsor man arrested for making threats against mayor

    
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 68-year-old man for making death threats against Mayor Drew Dilkens.

On the morning of March 27, 2024, the mayor’s office received a phone call from an unknown male making threats against the mayor. The Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation and quickly identified the suspect. That evening, at approximately 9 p.m., officers took the suspect into custody at his residence in the 900 block of Wyandotte St. E. 

Daniel Young has been charged with one count of uttering death threats.
