Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in vehicle collision 

    
Members of our Traffic Reconstruction Unit are investigating a motor vehicle collision that took place near the Riverfront.

On September 14, 2023, officers were called to the intersection of Riverside Dr. E. and McEwan Ave. for a collision involving a pedestrian. At approximately 6:30 p.m., a vehicle was travelling west on Riverside Dr. E. when a pedestrian was struck. The motorist remained on scene. 

The pedestrian was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for several hours while police investigated the incident. 

No charges have been laid at this time.
